With the motto “Four Together’s” which mean eating, living, working and speaking the ethnic language with local people, the young intellectual volunteers have stood side by side with local ethnic minorities, such as the Dao, Tay, Nung, to boost economic development, infrastructure building, and promote civilized lifestyles while eliminating superstitious practices.

Numerous economic development models, such as breeding livestock and poultry, and planting seedless persimmons and sugar beets, have brought about practical outcomes, contributing to a shift in thinking in terms of production and sustainable poverty reduction.

Since the beginning of the year, the unit has contributed hundreds of workdays to help people eliminate temporary and dilapidated homes and maintain the program “Love Sharing Thursdays,” offering free nutritious meals for children at Lao Po preschool.
