At around 8am on the same day, trawler BD-95368TS, captained by Vo Van Giac from Hoai Nhon district, Binh Dinh province, was at risk in bad weather while fishing at sea.
An unexpected engine failure caused the fishing vessel to go adrift about 60 nautical miles off Da Nang city’s coast.
After receiving the mayday signal, the center quickly sent its SAR-412 to the scene, approached the troubled trawler, and safely towed it and all fishermen ashore.
