Born and raised in a border area, young woman Nguyen Thi Thich clearly understands the difficulties and limitations that local ethnic communities face in accessing law-related information. After graduating from the University of Law (Hue University), she volunteered to work at Defense-Economic Unit 92, with the desire to cooperate with local authorities to popularize law among local people. With the enthusiasm of youth, she and the unit’s law dissemination team conducted the work via various forms.

Thich shared that over the past time, she and other officers and staff of the units have carried out mobile dissemination activities in both Vietnamese and local ethnic languages in villages and hamlets, and conducted law dissemination activities for students at schools in the locality.

With perseverance and dedication, the dissemination team of the unit, including Thich, has contributed to bringing legal knowledge closer to people in difficult areas, helping to raise their awareness of law observance. Thanks to their efforts, early marriage and illegal border crossings in the region have almost been eradicated, community solidarity has been strengthened, and people have become more engaged in productive livelihoods.

According to Colonel Nguyen Dang Tam, Deputy Political Commissar of Defense-Economic Unit 92, comrade Nguyen Thi Thich always promotes the vanguard role in carrying out all tasks of the unit, especially in encouraging local people to strictly observe the State’s law. With her practical contribution, she has earned the trust of the unit’s leadership, the sentiment of her comrades, and has been elected Chairwoman of the unit’s Women’s Union. Notably, she has also been admitted to the Party and stands as a shining example in the unit.
