According to the Vietnamese general, the Vietnam-Laos Friendships and Solidarity Year 2017 helped raise awareness of the two countries’ troops and people, especially for younger generation, of the fruitful and unique time-honored friendship between the two neighboring countries, which serves as a good foundation for their fostered ties.

General Nam hoped that basing on the outcomes of their cooperation in 2017 and new momentums this year, the two militaries would reinforce their cooperation, so that the bilateral defense ties could reap more good results and would continue to remain the pillar of the Vietnam-Laos relationship.
