Troubled crew-member saved at sea
PANO – Ship SAR 412 from the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center successfully brought a distressed fisherman to Da Nang port for further treatment on November 7.
Earlier, at 13:43 on November 6, fisherman Vo Van Toan (born in 1966) had his right foot cut off on trawler QNg 98848 TS due to an accident while fishing in the Northern Vietnamese waters of the Hoang Sa (Paracel) Islands. He then became unconscious due to bleeding.

After receiving the information, the center sent ship SAR 412 and a medical team from Da Nang Emergency Center 115 to the scene for a rescue mission.
At 20:45 on the same day, the rescue team approached the trawler and quickly gave first aid to the fisherman, who was then taken ashore for further treatment.
