According to a report from the Le Loi Commune Military Command, at approximately 00:05 on April 26, a fire broke out at the home of Pan Van Lo and Lo Thi Nguyet in Pa Don village, Le Loi commune. The blaze later spread to nearby households.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Lai Chau Provincial Military Command directed the Defensive Area Command Region 1-Phong Tho, the Defensive Area Command Region 2-Bum To, and the Le Loi Commune Military Command to mobilize forces to coordinate with local units in implementing rescue and firefighting measures. By 4:30 a.m. the same day, the fire had been completely extinguished.

Tragically, the fire claimed the lives of three children of the family.

On the morning of April 26, local Party committees and authorities provided the victims’ family with essential supplies, including food, drinking water, and temporary accommodation.

The Lai Chau Provincial Military Command has continued to deploy forces to coordinate with local authorities in addressing the aftermath. It also provided financial support of VND 6 million to the family and assisted with funeral arrangements.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by relevant authorities.
