Representatives of the Defense-Economic Unit 4 present gifts to student Gia Ba Trung's family.

Having learnt about the situation, the Youth Union of the unit has handed over VND 300,000 in cash from the model “Green environment – Sharing difficulties with impoverished students” to the student. This small but meaningful amount of money has helped Trung’s family.

At the same time, student Xong Ba Sy, 7 years old, at Na Ngoi 2 Primary School in Na Cang hamlet, Na Ngoi commune, is also the recipient of the fund from the model. Sy, whose father is dead, is living with his grandfather.

Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Van Trung Cong, Head of the unit’s Youth Union, said that this model aims to both support local needy students and raise solidarity among youth unions of the Defense-Economic Unit 4, Na Ngoi Border Post, and Na Ngoi commune.

At the same time, since the beginning of this year, the unit’s youth union has also organized a number of gratitude programs, connecting various sponsors nationwide, to grant gifts to needy people and students in border areas; held literacy classes for women; and raised awareness of local residents of State laws, contributing to beautifying the civilian-military ties in the borderline areas of Nghe An province.
