On November 18, in Trung village, border commune of Ia Lop, Ea Sup district, Dak Lak province, the Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command, in coordination with the Dai Doan Ket Newspaper, held a ceremony to inaugurate and hand over a great unity house to Mr. Vo Truong Giang’s family with difficult circumstances.

In order to share difficulties with his family, the Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command, in coordination with the newspaper, built the house for Giang’s family. The house, worth VND 100 million, was donated by sponsors in the locality.

In addition, the Ea H’leo Border Post, the chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Ia Lop commune, and local authorities also contributed working days to help his family to complete the construction as scheduled.

The activity was in celebration of the 92nd foundation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (November 18, 1930).

Handing over Great Unity house to Mrs. Pham Thi Bot

* Ealier, on November 15, the Thai Binh provincial Border Guard Command, together with the provincial Fatherland Front Committee chapter, Tra Ly Border Post, and local authorities, organized a ceremony to inaugurate and hand over a house to a poor family in Thai Do commune, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province.

Accordingly, Mrs. Pham Thi Bot (70 years old) from Thai Do commune, Thai Thuy district received the house on this occasion. The construction, worth VND 115 million, was started from September 2022 with an area of 32m2. The Fatherland Front Committee chapter of Thai Thuy district donated VND 50 milion while Tra Ly Border Post contributed VND 10 million and nearly 30 working days.

After four months, the construction was finished and put into use, helping the family soon stabilize their lives.

On this occasion, the local authorities and sponsors presented gifts to the recipient.

Besides, Mrs. Cao Thi Bich Phuong’s family (Nam Hung commune, Tien Hai District, Thai Binh province) also painted the house for the needy family, worth over VND 10 million. This was a meaningful activity, showing the care of the political system and locals to needy and poor households, while encouraging them to overcome current difficulties.

* In the implementation of program “Standing side by side with border women,” the Women's Union organization of Hanoi, the Capital Women’s Newspaper, Kon Tum provincial Border Guard Command, Dak Long Border Guard Station, and Petrochemical and Fertilizer Corporation, offered equipment to Dak Long Secondary School, Dak Glei district, Kon Tum province.

The equipment includes six televisions, 10 cabinets, totally worth VND 140 million. Dak Long Secondary School currently has 13 classes with a total number of 540 students, of which over 80% are ethnic minority students. The equipment is to assist the student in study.

The construction includes a well, water tank and water system, worth VND 45 million. In addition, the unit aso presented 1.4 tons of rice and 280 cans of water to needy households in the locality.

Sharing difficulties with the locals, over the past time, the unit has called on sponsors to build and hand over the construction to local people in A Ngo and A Bung communes, totally worth nearly VND 500 million.
