Military Region 1 delegation encourages units on Tet duty
PANO – On February 18 (the second day of the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2026), a delegation from Military Region 1, led by Lieutenant General La Cong Phuong, Political Commissar of the Military Region, visited, inspected, and encouraged officers and soldiers performing Tet duty at Special Task Battalion 20, Chemical Battalion 23 (under the Military Region 1’s Staff), Depot K21 (under the Department of Logistics and Technical Services of Military Region 1), and Signal Brigade 601.
At the units, after listening to reports from commanding officers on Tet duty arrangements, combat readiness plans, fire fighting and prevention, and safety assurance during the holiday, Lieutenant General La Cong Phuong acknowledged and commended the pro-active spirit of officers and soldiers in thoroughly grasping and implementing directives and guidance from higher levels.

He requested that the units continue to strictly maintain combat readiness duty; closely monitor situations and avoid being caught off guard in any circumstances. At the same time, he emphasized the need to ensure that all interests are fully provided so that troops can celebrate Tet in a joyful, healthy, economical, and absolutely safe manner.
The delegation also conducted on-site inspections of Tet celebration activities at the units; visited soldiers’ dining, accommodation, and living areas; and joined in traditional folk games, sharing the vibrant early-spring atmosphere with officers and soldiers.
The timely encouragement from the military region’s leadership serves as a significant source of motivation, strengthening troops’ determination and readiness to undertake and successfully accomplish all assigned tasks from the very first days of the lunar new year.
