* In Long An, the provincial Military Command held a ceremony to inaugurate a statue of General Vo Nguyen Giap. This activity showed deep respect and gratitude of the province’s armed forces to General Vo Nguyen Giap, affirming their commitment to upholding and developing the glorious revolutionary tradition, making the Vietnam People’s Army stronger.

* Lai Hoa Border Post under the Soc Trang provincial Border Guard Command, the Women's Union of the provincial Border Guard Command and the Red Cross Society of Vinh Chau town conducted many practical activities, including dissemination about the glorious traditions of the VPA; the “One meaningful deed every week” model, giving gifts to people with disabilities, serious illnesses, and those in difficult circumstances, and donating bicycles to poor students with excellent academic results.

* In Khanh Hoa, Brigade 162 (Naval Region 4) organized many activities, including visiting and presenting gifts to policy beneficiaries and national contributors in twinning communes; meeting with officers and soldiers who are children of wounded soldiers and martyrs; and organizing sports competitions.

These activities helped arouse troops’ national pride, enhance their solidarity and self-reliance to promote the qualities of the “Uncle Ho’s soldiers - Navy soldiers,” and raise their determination to accomplish all assignments.

The delegation presenting gifts to needy people

* The Liaison board of Unit 5502 organized a meeting to celebrate the 80th foundation anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army, the 35th anniversary of Whole-people Defense Festive Day, and the 45th foundation anniversary of the unit.

During the meeting, nearly 200 veterans recalled the glorious history of the Vietnam People’s Army and Unit 5502 over the past 45 years, especially during its international mission in Cambodia.

* In Loc Ninh district (Binh Phuoc province), the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of District 10 (Ho Chi Minh City) and the An Binh Charity Foundation’s medical team carried out a “Border spring warms up border people's hearts” in Loc Hoa commune.

During the program, hundreds of needy people received gifts, free medical examinations, and medicines. They were also guided on how to care for their health through diet, exercise, early disease detection, among others. This was a meaningful activity for disadvantaged people and the elderly in remote areas.
