Factory Z111’s youth donate blood
PANO - In response to the blood donation movement of the General Department of Political Affairs, Military Hospital 103 and Factory Z111’s Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation held a blood donation program on March 5 in Thanh Hoa province.

The blood donation event was part of the activities to mark the youth month, the 91st founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and the 65th founding anniversary of Factory Z111. It was also to ease blood shortage for treatment at hospitals.
With the message “A drop of blood given – A live saved,” the program attracted the participation of 300 cadres and staff of Factory Z111 with 250 units of blood received.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Director of Factory Z111 Lieutenant Colonel Dang Duy Thai affirmed that voluntary blood donation is one of the significant humanitarian activities that contribute to sharing pain with patients, arousing sharing spirit among the community, and fostering solidarity.

He added that the success of the program would serve as foundation for the two units to foster cooperation and solidarity and host more significant events in the coming time.
According to Deputy Director of Military Hospital 103 Senior Colonel Luong Cong Thuc, ensuring enough blood for treatment has been a challenging mission of hospitals, including Military Hospital 103, due to severe impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The hospital’s leader expected that youth, with enthusiasm and voluntary spirit, would actively join blood donation movement to help patients overcome illnesses and bring happiness to ill-fated ones.
