Naval Academy holds blood donation program
PANO - The Vietnam Naval Academy in collaboration with the Khanh Hoa Provincial Red Cross Society held a blood donation program on February 26.
The program is held annually by the academy in order to add more blood units to the storage of local medical establishments as well as showing the care of the school’s servicemen for the community.
Reportedly, from 2016 till now, the academy has launched 13 blood donation events, mobilized over 9,000 volunteers and collected over 8,000 blood units for local hospitals.
This year, due to the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, participants to the event had to strictly follow regulations of the organizing board such as the “5K” rules (Khau trang (facemask), (Khu khuan) disinfection, (Khoang cach) distance, (Khong tu tap) no gathering, (Khai bao y te) health declaration), contributing to ensuring safety for all participants.
As a result, over 400 blood units were collected during the program.
