Commando Corps conducts social activities in Ha Giang

During the visit, the delegation and troops of the border post affirmed their absolute loyalty to the Party, State, and people, socialism; their determination to stay united, promote heroism, good virtues, and traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army, and complete assigned missions to firmly build and protect the socialist Vietnam.

At the cultural house of Thanh Thuy commune’s Na Toong hamlet, the delegation handed over donations to assist the construction of a canteen at the cultural house; presented dozens of gifts to policy families, needy households, needy students and those with disabilities, and staff of the martyrs’ remains search and collection team of the provincial military command.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Political Commissar of the Commando Corps Senior Colonel Hoang Ngoc Thanh said that in realizing the “Accompanying women in border areas” program launched by the GDP, the Commando Corps was tasked to support women in Cao Bang and Ha Giang provinces. The unit conducted activities in Ha Giang and Cao Bang in 2019 and 2022, respectively. Last year, the corps’ activities were held in Trieu Phong commune, Quang Tri province, leaving good impression on locals.

The same day, the delegation handed over gifts to Phuong Tien Primary School and students as an encouragement to help students to obtain good academic results. Receiving gifts from the delegation, Deputy Chairman of the People’s Committee of Phuong Tien commune Can Van Hien said that Phuong Tien commune has eight hamlets, and half of them are needy localities. He affirmed that the “Female commando officers accompany women in border areas” program is a significant activity held in the locality.
