On May 2 (Moscow time), the weather experienced a sudden shift. Overnight, heavy snow blanketed the area, even though the temperature remained steady at 3°C, not colder than previous days. Snow accumulated up to 15cm on the training route, making movement difficult.

This unexpected weather presented a new challenge for the officers and cadets in the parade formation, as they had never trained under such conditions in Vietnam. After consulting with liaison officers from the host country, Major General Nguyen Van Thanh, Head of the Vietnamese delegation, decided to use a sheltered corridor at the delegation’s accommodation site to continue training indoors while waiting for the weather to get better.

At the same time, the organizing panel sent staff and equipment to clear snow in the paths that morning, enabling military delegations from countries to resume their training.

By around 10 a.m., the VPA and other foreign delegations were able to continue their outdoor training as scheduled.

The People’s Army Newspaper would like to present some image during the training session of the VPA’s delegation.
