Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Quang Ngoc expressed his sincere appreciation for and highly commended Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu and the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia for their contribution to strengthening relations between the two states, the two ministries of national defense, and the peoples of the two countries. He expressed his hope that the embassy would continue supporting Vietnamese military units in fulfilling their missions in Cambodia and step up efforts to search for, recover, and repatriate the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors who laid down their lives while conducting international service in Cambodia.
At MB Cambodia, the delegation was briefed on the bank's positive growth and effective control of nonperforming loans since its official transition to a new operating model. After more than three years of operation, the bank has made notable achievements, contributing nearly USD 2 million annually to Cambodia's state budget, with contributions expected to increase as its business expands. It is also expanding retail banking and lending services to improve the living standards of Cambodian citizens and Vietnamese expatriates living and working in the country.
