The museum is located within the Patriot Park, together with the Main Cathedral of the Russian Armed Forces, creating a complex built to honor and showcase Russia’s history, culture, and military.

At the museum, visitors can learn about the development of the Russian Armed Forces through various historical periods, and engage in rich, multi-dimensional experiences of Russian military via diverse exhibitions. The use of 3D projection technology will give visitors a vivid sense of witnessing wartime events firsthand.

The museum also holds records of seven Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who fought alongside the Red Army to protect Moscow during wartime.

May 1, International Workers’ Day, is a public holiday in Russia and falls close to Victory Day, resulting in a large number of visitors to the museum. In addition to the presence of foreign military delegations, many Russian families with children, as well as teachers leading groups of students, came to learn about the history and the victory of the Red Army and Soviet people in defeating fascism and bringing peace to humanity.

Below are some photos of the VPA’s delegation at the “Road to Memory” Museum.
