After the launch ceremony, officers, soldiers and Youth Union members from Sin Suoi Ho Border Post planted 120 fruit and timber trees at their barracks.
The tree-planting festival will be carried out by agencies and units from the provincial Border Guard Command from February 3 to 7, with a total of more than 2,200 trees of different types.

Speaking at the event, Sr. Col. Nguyen Van Hung underscored that in response to the tree-planting festival launched by President Ho Chi Minh and implementing the program to plant one billion trees launched by Prime Minister, over the past years, the command’s affiliated agencies and units have pro-actively coordinated with local authorities and people to plant, take care of and protect the forest in an effective manner.

These activities have contributed to protecting ecological environment and water resources; preserving gene resources; maintaining the biodiversity of forests; promoting the protective functions of forests and helping reduce negative impacts caused by natural disasters.

Over the past time, the province’s armed forces have planted, cared for, protected, restored, and improved thousands of hectares of land following Resolution 05 of the provincial Party Committee, contributing to greening barren land and hills, bringing practical economic benefits.
In addition, many units have actively planted and taken care of trees surrounding their barracks, creating a bright, green, clean, and beautiful environment.
After the launch ceremony, officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces planted nearly 2,500 trees of different types, including 500 fruit trees and 2,000 timber trees.
On the occasion, military agencies and units in the province simultaneously launched and organized the planting of thousands of fruit and timber trees.
