Accordingly, over the past ten years, under the leadership and instruction of the Party Central Committee and Defense Ministry, women worked in units and agencies obtained practical achievements in politics, economy, education, healthcare, culture, information, and family building. The quantity and quality of female cadres have increased. Thousands of their applicable initiatives, projects, and products have been widely applied, contributing to their units’ task accomplishment.

Addressing the event, General Chiem asked the leadership of political agencies to pay much attention to the work for the advancement of women and promote dissemination on gender equity to reduce domestic violence. Meanwhile, committees for the advancement of women should renew measures to efftectively implement women work, promote their staff role for higher levels, and strengthen coordination among their members.

He requested units to comprehend thoughts and expectations of defense workers, especially female ones and create favorable condition for the implementation of women work, so as to raise position of military women in the new period.
