The seminar, themed “General Chu Huy Man - An outstanding politician and military man of the Vietnamese revolution, an excellent fellow of the homeland of Nghe An,” aimed to educate revolutionary traditions for troops, especially youths, so as to raise their patriotism and national pride, contributing to building the VPA into a revolutionary, regular, elite, gradually modern military, deserving to be a core force of the Party.

Earlier, on March 16, at the Memorial House dedicated to General Chu Huy Man (in Hung Hoa commune, Vinh City, Nghe An province), the steering committee of the seminar offered incense in
tribute to the late general.

General Chu Huy Man was a former Politburo member, former Deputy Head of the State Council (now Government), former Vice Secretary of the Central Military Commission, and former Director of the VPA’s General Department of Political Affairs.

During his revolutionary career, at any position, General Chu Huy Man did his utmost to accomplish all missions assigned by the Party, people, and military.
He devoted all of the spirit, energy and wisdom of a communist to the revolutionary cause of the country, making contribution to the cause of national salvation, reunification, construction and protection.
