PANO – A scientific seminar, “Chu Huy Man with the Vietnamese revolution and Nghe An province”, was organized on March 14th in Vinh City by the provincial Party Committee, the Defence Ministry, the Presidential Office, the Central Committee for Information and Political Training, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration.
The event, among the activities to mark the 100th birth anniversary of the late General Chu Huy Man, former Politburo member, former Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Director of General Department of Politics, helped the participants learn more about the life, career and contributions of the General to the revolutionary cause of the Vietnamese Party, people and People’s Army.
During the seminar, the participants highlighted the noble virtues and great contributions of General Chu Huy Man to the revolutionary cause of the Vietnamese Party, Army and people. He was one of the first members of the Vietnamese Communist Party, and had great contributions to revolutionary movements, especially the August Revolution in 1945. He was also one of the excellent leaders of the Party, State and Army, a talented general who took part in many battlefields and campaigns, making contributions to the glorious victory of the two resistance wars against the French Colonialism and the American Imperialism, successfully defending the nation.
He was also side by side with the Lao Party, State, Army and People, contributing to building the Vietnam-Laos special friendship.
Chu Huy Man, whose real name was Chu Van Dieu, was born on March 17th, 1913 in a poor family in Nghe An province. Promoting the beautiful cultural traditions and patriotism of the province, the young patriot Chu Van Dieu soon joined the revolution and held different positions during his 55 year career. He is an excellent general of the Party, State and Army.
When still alive, General Man was always proud of his motherland, Nghe An province, with cultural, patriotic and revolutionary traditions, and Nghe An province’s children will forever be proud of and grateful to great contributions of the talented General to the revolutionary cause of the nation in general, and of the province in particular.
