Over the past decade, the province has seriously embraced and creatively implemented the resolution, raised the awareness and responsibility of Party members, staff, and locals on the Fatherland protection and military-defense tasks, while surmounting shortcomings in Party building and rectification.

The provincial authorities has paid much attention to building an elite, clean and constructive political system while combining the Fatherland protection task with the socio-economic development plan. As a result, the locality’s economic growth rate ranged from 9.2 to nearly 11 percent in the 2013-2022 period. Its scale of economy was 2.36 times higher than in 2015, ranking seventh in the country. Its Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) per capita reached more than USD 8,200, the highest in the North. The rate of poor households decreased to about 2.6 percent. Additionally, the whole-people's defense posture was closely combined with the people’s security posture while the capability and combat readiness of the local armed forces was increasingly enhanced.
Speaking at the conference, General Phan Van Giang, who is also the deputy head of the standing board of the steering committee for the project "Revision of the 10 years of implementing the resolution of the eighth session of the 11th Party Central Committee on the Fatherland protection strategy in the new situation," acknowledged the efforts and achievements of the provincial Party committee in implementing the resolution over the past years.
The achievements have resulted from the determination of the provincial authorities, the combined strength of the whole political system, and the whole people unity bloc, and the trust of locals on the local leadership, he added.

The defense minister emphasized the need for the provincial authorities to continue disseminating information to raise the awareness among Party members, staff, and local people of the tasks related to protecting the Fatherland in the current context. He also called for improving the strength of Party organizations, effective operation of the political system, and building a strong and comprehensive provincial armed forces.
Furthermore, the province should consistently implement the Party's foreign policy, strengthen friendly cooperative relations with other localities in the neighboring countries, and fight against and prevent transnational crimes.
