NDA opened refresher course on defense-security knowledge
PANO – On April 20, the National Defense Academy (NDA) held a ceremony, chaired by its Director Senior Lieutenant General Tran Viet Khoa, to open the 85th refresher course on defense-security.
The one-month long course draws the participation of 65 trainees. This is the second course launched following Circular 172 of the Ministry of National Defense with 25 specialized subjects and higher requirements of defense-security knowledge in line with the current situations.

During the course, participants will study basic knowledge related to defense-security strategies of several countries related to Vietnam, the Fatherland protection strategies in the current context, and the Party’s and State’s viewpoints on building the whole-people defense posture in attachment with the people’s security posture, the national border sovereignty, among others.

Addressing the event, General Khoa requested all trainees to promote responsibility, raise awareness and political stance while embracing Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's thought, Party's guidelines and resolutions during the course. They should also evaluate situations so as to address issues in the field of defense, security and military.
Meanwhile, instructors should renovate training and education methods, and update theoretical and practical summaries in their presentations.
