It was the first course launched following Circular 172 of the Ministry of National Defense with 25 specialized subjects, an increased training schedule, and higher requirements of defense-security knowledge in line with the current situations.

During the course, 74 participants studied basic knowledge related to defense-security strategies of several countries  related to Vietnam, the Fatherland protection strategies in the current context, and the Party’s and State’s viewpoints on building the whole-people defense posture in attachment with people’s security posture, the national border sovereignty, and so on.

Apart from theory, trainees also paid field trips to several localities and units to understand clearly about socio-economic development in line with defense-security reinforcement and learn more about experience in dealing with non-traditional security threats, building defensive areas, and more.

Numerous appropriate solutions concerning socio-economic development in line with defense-security reinforcement were given by trainees.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the course, Sr. Lt. Gen. Tran Viet Khoa hoped that trainees will be able to apply their acquired knowledge to their mission after the course, contributing to firmly building and safeguarding the Fatherland in the current context.
