As reported during the conference, in the first two months of 2024, the PAN comprehensively executed its political tasks. Building upon the achieved results, the PAN’s Council for Emulation and Rewards launched a high-level emulation drive under the theme "Following the footsteps of Dien Bien warriors - Striving for the three best criteria."

The emulation drive aims to enhance the awareness, responsibility, and determination of reporters, editors, and staff in fulfilling their tasks. It is set to take place from March 1 to May 7, 2024.

During the conference, the PAN also announced the launch of an emulation drive in combat readiness and training for the year 2024 under the theme "Proactive, creative, good training, high combat readiness, outstanding mission completion." This emulation drive is scheduled to run from March 1 to December 15, 2024.

In his speech at the conference, Senior Colonel Ngo Anh Thu highly appreciated the results of the emulation drives conducted by the People’s Army Newspaper in 2023. He urged the units under the People’s Army Newspaper to thoroughly understand and strictly implement the content of the high-level emulation drive.

Additionally, he emphasized the need to review the emulation drive, commend and reward outstanding collectives and individuals in a timely manner, and effectively carry out information dissemination for important activities of the military in 2024.
