The Son La provincial Border Guard Command receiving the national flag which used to be raised on Lung Cu flag tower

Troops of the Ha Giang provincial Border Guard Command are always proud of guarding and protecting the national flags on the Lung Cu flag tower. They have carefully kept the flags protected from the sun and rains and replaced them with new ones. The faded flags are later presented to tourists and military units as souvenirs.

The flag is exhibited at the command’s hall of fame.

The aforementioned 54sqm flag represents the solidarity of Vietnamese ethnic minorities.

Addressing the ceremony, Senior Colonel Vu Duc Tu, Deputy Political Commissar of the Son La provincial Border Guard Command, said that the command will showcase this precious present in its hall of fame to popularize the border guard force’s tradition and their contributions to safeguarding national territorial sovereignty.
