MND mission inspects Da Nang municipal Border Guard Command

Sr. Col. Tran Cong Thanh reports on the unit’s task achievements.

During the inspection visit, Commanding Officer of the Da Nang municipal Border Guard Command Senior Colonel Tran Cong Thanh reported that the Command’s Party Committee and Chain-of-Command have embraced and directed their affiliates to strictly realize higher levels’ resolutions, directives, and plans on Task 1389. They have also launched a high-level prevention drive against drug trafficking, human smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit along the sea border before, during and after the lunar New Year of the Snake.

In addition, the unit has well disseminated information about law, collected valuable information from locals to better serve the drug and crime prevention and control work. It has also performed its core role in managing and protecting the border, fighting against crime and legal violations in the designated areas.

Concluding the visit, the mission highly appreciated the unit’s great efforts and effective implementation of Task 1389 and the aforementioned high-level drive. They asked the unit to boost efficiency of the dissemination and inspection work, particularly self-inspection, and attach responsibility of all-level Party committees and chains-of-command to the outcomes of the unit’s task performance.

The unit was also requested to actively grasp, forecast, assess situations, pro-actively devise plans to combat different types of crime, deal with administrative violations, fight against IUU fishing, and firmly manage the border.
