As for the scientific research, the university completed hundreds of projects at different levels over the past recent 10 years. Many of them were granted with international and national awards and were successfully applied to reality.

Especially, the Military Medical University has been the first medical unit of the country that has successfully performed five organ transplants on humans, including kidney transplant in 1992, liver transplant in 2004, heart transplant in 2010, poly-organ (pancreas- kidney) transplant in 2014, and lung transplant in 2017.

These above records have encouraged the university’s cadres, doctors, cadets, and students to participate in scientific research projects, contributing to enhancing the quality of its training and its healthcare for troops and people.
