This was part of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and Russia (1950-2020) and the 25th anniversary of a treaty on the basic principles for bilateral friendship (1994-2019).

Leaders of the Vietnam Military Medical Academy and the Kirov State Medical University talk together to map out their cooperation

In his remarks, Lieutenant General Do Quyet, Rector of the academy, underlined that the Russian Government and people in general and the Kirov State Medical University in particular offered equipment and sent experts to Vietnam to help the Military Medical Academy from the very first days of its establishment.

In addition, hundreds of the Military Medical Academy’s cadets and medical staff were trained in Russia.

At the meeting, delegates recalled the glorious traditions of the school, which honorably received the noble title “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” three times, while affirming to try their best to build the school as a leading medical center in the military and in the country.
