General Staff hosts a military refresher course
PANO – The General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army held a ceremony to kick off a refresher course on military work for troops across the military on October 22 at Division 325 of Army Corps 2.
Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang and Deputy Chiefs of General Staff Lieutenant Generals Nguyen Tan Cuong, Ngo Minh Tien, and Phung Si Tan attended the opening ceremony.
During the course, more than 300 officers from military units and schools will learn methods of training soldiers, new contents in tactics training for infantry and combined land forces, as well as training regulations.

Speaking at the event, General Giang said that over the past time military units have paid attention to increasing the mastering of modern equipment, field training, night training, as well as mobile training, thus raising the quality of their training and combat readiness.
Pointing out shortcomings in military training, General Giang emphasized the need to raise the competence of troops to meet the requirements of missions in the current period. He said that raising the quality of training is an urgent mission.
General Giang asked the organizing panel to run the class, strictly follow the regulations, and take notes of the trainees’ comments for the adjustment of training programs in 2020. Meanwhile, trainees were urged to focus on studying, strictly observe the regulations, promote solidarity, and actively share practical experiences with other trainees.
