During the event, the Department of Information and Training reported on the progress of the project and proposed measures to ensure quality and timely completion. Delegates contributed comments to clarify the essence of the cultural values of “Uncle Ho’s Soldiers” in the new period and how to effectively promote them, while comparing the draft with previous directives and thematic documents.
In his remarks, the GDP’s deputy chief emphasized that the project helps actualize the Resolution of the 12th Military Party Congress and directives of the CMC on continuing to uphold the values of “Uncle Ho’s Soldiers.” He stressed that this is both a regular task and an urgent requirement to inspire the entire military to fulfill assigned missions and contribute to building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modernized Vietnam People's Army.
He also praised the close coordination of relevant agencies and units in preparing the draft, thanked delegates for their detailed feedbacks, and assigned the Department of Information and Training to incorporate comments, consult experts, finalize the document, and submit it to competent authorities for approval.
Also on April 23, the Council for the Creative Labor Award for members of Trade Union chapters in the military held a conference to appraise the results of the first edition of the award. GDP’s Deputy Chief Sr. Lt. Gen. Le Quang Minh, who is also Chairman of the Award Council, chaired the meeting.
According to the Defense Trade Union Board, the award has been implemented under close leadership and guidance from Party committees, chains-of-command, and political agencies at all levels. Communication efforts have helped raise awareness among cadres, union members, and workers of the significance of the award, while procedures have been carried out in line with regulations. The initiative has also encouraged scientific research, innovation, and technical improvements across the military.
