GDP honors winners of Literature and Art Awards in 2014-2019
PANO – The General Department of Politics (GDP) held a ceremony to honor outstanding authors of the Literature and Art Awards for Armed Forces and Revolutionary War in the 2014-2019 period on February 21.

The ceremony was attended by Vice Head of the Standing Board of the Central Party Committee’s Commission for Information and Education Vo Van Phuong, Deputy Director of the GDP Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, among others.
The awards aim to encourage and celebrate authors who have created valuable works through their creativity, contributed to improving the spiritual and material lives of people and troops, and promoted literary movements in the military.
Reportedly, the organizing panel received nearly 3,000 entries, in which 194 were selected for the awards. In addition, the Ministry of National Defense and the GDP presented certificates of merit to 39 excellent groups and individuals in recognition of their achievements for the awards.
Speaking at the ceremony, General Nghia lauded the efforts of the participants, asking relevant agencies to continue fostering the literary movement in the military with a focus on highlighting the images of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and traditional cultural values of the Vietnamese people.
