In his speech, General Nguyen Trong Nghia praised the efforts of GDP agencies and units over the past time, underlining that the year 2026 carries special significance, as the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) has concluded successfully, and the country is entering a new stage of development.

The GDP chief evaluated that during the Lunar New Year, the Party and political work was implemented in a comprehensive and synchronous manner. Many unexpected tasks were handled promptly, showing the responsibility and sentiment of the military toward people.
Building on those results, Gen. Nghia required the agencies and units to continue to thoroughly grasp the spirit of the 14th National Congress of the CPV, emphasizing the task of serving the elections of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils for the 2026-2031 term. This is a central political task showing the military’s responsibility toward the Party, the State, and people.
The agencies and units should pro-actively give advice and implement dissemination work effectively.
Attention should be given to the cultural and spiritual life of troops; promoting the role of journalism, literature, and the arts in the military in information dissemination, tradition education, and safeguarding the Party’s ideological foundation.

On the occasion, the GDP chief extended New Year greetings, wishing the whole officers, soldiers, and staff of the GDP and their families good health, joy, and happiness.
He also hoped that the GDP will continue to uphold its especially important role and responsibility to successfully accomplish all assigned tasks, contributing to building the Vietnam People’s Army into a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern military.
