Lieutenant Nguyen Thanh Luan, Political Commissar of Coast Guard Ship 3004, said that although complicated weather and sea conditions have affected their task implementation, the ship’s Party Committee and chain-of-command have regularly encouraged personnel and ensured the “A teaching of Uncle Ho a day” program.

Amidst challenging conditions at sea, stories about President Ho Chi Minh’s simple lifestyle and noble character have encouraged officers and soldiers, helping them overcome homesickness and difficulties. This motivates them to remain steadfast at sea, resolutely prevent and combat violations and crimes, and protect fishermen so they can operate safely.
Implementing the movement on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and lifestyle, the Party Committee and Command of Coast Guard Region 1 have directed agencies and units to develop practical models and movements.
Models such as “Uncle Ho’s teaching on this day” and “Regular and exemplary ship” have contributed to improving training quality, combat readiness capabilities, and the building of comprehensively strong units. Practical measures include arranging documents and technical equipment on board in accordance with regulations, promoting technical initiatives, and strictly maintaining combat readiness, regular routines, and safety.

Meanwhile, movements such as “Coast guards stand by fishermen” and “I love my homeland’s sea and islands” have helped raise legal awareness, foster love for the sea and islands, ensure social security, and protect the marine environment. They also serve as an important bridge to build a “people’s heart posture” at sea.
Major General Tran Van Hau, Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 1, said that the Party Committee and Chain-of-Command of Coast Guard Region 1 continued directing Party committees and chains-of-command at all levels to thoroughly educate troops on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s example, thereby enhancing their sense of responsibility.
He requested agencies and units to create breakthroughs in renewing and improving the effectiveness of implementing models and movements, closely linking them with the responsibilities of each collective and individual. This contributes to building the image of Coast Guard Region 1’s Uncle Ho’s soldiers who not only successfully fulfill political tasks, but also remain close to, respect, and support the people.
