Division 320 receives third-class Fatherland Protection Order
PANO – Division 320 under Army Corps 3 held a ceremony on January 16 in Pleiku city to mark the 70th anniversary of its foundation day and receive the third-class Fatherland Protection Order.
The event was attended by Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army.
Seven decades ago, Dong Bang Brigade (predecessor of Division 320) was founded in Nho Quan district of the Northern province of Ninh Binh. Since its establishment, troops of the unit have fought various battles and achieved numerous glorious feats-of-arms.
Over the past time, the division’s troops have fulfilled all combat readiness training missions, actively conducted mass mobilization activities, and helped local people overcome natural disaster consequences. The unit’s contributions have been praised by the local leadership and the Army Corps 3 Command.
Speaking at the ceremony, General Nghia praised and highly appreciated the division’s results over the past time. He emphasized that its achievements in combat readiness training and feasible initiatives to help local people raise their living standards beautified the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and contributed to promoting people’s trust, strengthening political systems, and consolidating the relationship between troops and people.
At the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia presented the third-class Fatherland Protection Order to Division 320.
