According to General Giang, in the coming years, due to the influence of climate change, environmental pollution, natural disasters, pandemics, and non-traditional security challenges facing the world and Vietnam, affecting socio-economic development and the defense and security work, tree and forest planting as well as environmental protection are always the most effective solution. Therefore, the defense minister requested units in the whole military to continue to grasp all directives and orders of higher levels on tree planting, disseminate information to raise troops’ awareness of tree and forest planting as well as forest protection, contributing to reducing bad effects of climate change and raising the people’s living standard.
