The competition drew the participation of 100 contestants representing 17,160 students from 21 secondary schools across six communes and wards, namely Tuy An Nam, Binh Kien, Tuy Hoa, Phu Yen, Hoa Hiep, and Hoa Xuan.

Contestants competed in four parts, namely “Setting Sail,” “Riding the Waves,” “Making Landfall,” and “Placing Sovereignty Markers.” Each of the “Setting Sail,” “Riding the Waves,” and “Making Landfall” parts consisted of five questions. After each part, a “rescue” round was held in the form of physical games jointly organized and conducted by teachers, students, and officers and Youth Union members of Flotilla 32.
Following the lively and engaging rounds, the organizers awarded one first prize, two second, two third, and 15 consolation prizes to the 20 most outstanding contestants. At the same time, the organizing panel selected 50 top-performing students to advance to the provincial-level round, scheduled to take place in January 2026.

According to Colonel Duong Minh Chau, Deputy Political Commissar of Flotilla 32, the contest aims to provide students with in-depth education and awareness about the sea and islands; State documents related to maritime sovereignty; the functions, tasks, authority, and operational achievements of the Vietnam Coast Guard; the harmful effects of drugs and school violence and methods of prevention; as well as the historical traditions, geographical features, and cultural values of the homeland.

On this occasion, Flotilla 32 also presented 10 bicycles to 10 disadvantaged students who have overcome difficulties and demonstrated strong determination in their studies.
