The event was attended by Bui Quang Hoan, Deputy Head of the Ha Tinh provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Information and Education, and Mass Mobilization; Senior Colonel Nguyen Huu Tuyen, Deputy Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 1; along with over 20,000 students from secondary schools in 16 coastal communes and wards of the province.

The contest is divided into two rounds. Round 1 (commune/ward level) is conducted online with the participation of 100% of local secondary schools. Round 2 (provincial level) will be a direct competition following the “Golden bell” format for 100 outstanding students selected from the previous round.

The contest focuses on disseminating knowledge about the history of national construction and defense; traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army and the Vietnam Coast Guard; legal regulations on sea and islands; the Law on drug prevention and control; and skills to prevent school violence.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Bui Quang Hoan emphasized that the contest is a practical activity to realize Project 3934 of the Ministry of National Defense. It serves not only as a knowledge playground but also as a journey to foster patriotism and raise the responsibility of young generations in the cause of protecting the sacred sovereignty over the Fatherland’s sea and islands.
