Defense leader works with Engineering Corps
PANO - On June 4, a delegation of the Ministry of National Defense led by Deputy Defense Minister Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Quang Ngoc inspected logistics, finance, and capital construction investment work at the Engineering Corps for the first five months of 2026.
Presenting the report at the inspection, Major General Tran Trung Hoa, Commander of the Engineering Corps, stated that during the first five months of 2026, the corps had thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented resolutions, directives, orders, and instructions from higher levels. Despite numerous challenges, the corps remained pro-active and determined in carrying out all aspects of its work, successfully accomplishing all assigned tasks in accordance with the approved plans.

In his remarks, General Ngoc directed the Engineering Corps to review ongoing work and develop comprehensive plans for implementing both new and continuing projects in a focused and coordinated manner, avoiding fragmented or scattered investment. He emphasized the need to strengthen construction quality management, enhance the corps’ capacity to undertake major engineering projects, particularly large-scale tunnel construction, and invest in modern construction equipment and technologies.

The defense leader also stressed the importance of ensuring adequate accommodation and living conditions for troops engaged in construction missions, making effective use of state budget funds allocated to investment projects, and maintaining high standards in logistics and financial support to further improve the welfare and quality of life of troops.
