In the first six months of this year, the Corporation effectively utilized available resources, prioritized the fulfillment of defense tasks, maintained stable production and business operations, and prepared necessary conditions for launching next-generation military shipbuilding programs.

At the event, Gen. Nam praised Song Thu Corporation for its achievements. He asked it to further leverage its internal strengths, modernize management and administration, improve the quality of its workforce, promote technical innovation, master advanced technologies, and enhance production and business efficiency.
The defense leader urged the Corporation to continue capitalizing on its capabilities and experience in building and repairing defense products, ensuring that defense vessels are repaired and delivered on schedule while meeting all quality requirements under both routine and unscheduled assignments.
The Corporation was tasked with closely coordinating with relevant authorities and units to accelerate the completion of technical design documentation, cost estimates, production designs, and other preparations necessary for implementing key military shipbuilding programs.
On the afternoon of the same day, Gen. Nam attended the ceremony marking the 60th foundation anniversary of Brigade 172 of Naval Region 3 (July 9, 1966 - 2026). On behalf of the State President, he presented the Second-Class Fatherland Protection Order to the unit.

Over the past six decades of development, generations of officers and sailors of Brigade 172 have forged the unit’s proud tradition of “proactive, innovative, overcoming difficulties; combat-ready, united, determined-to-win.”
Addressing the ceremony, Gen. Nam congratulated the Brigade on its attainments gained over the past 60 years. He asked for strict implementation of higher-level guidelines and directives; and effective performance of key breakthrough initiatives to build a comprehensively strong, exemplary, typical unit.
He also requested the unit to continue reviewing and streamlining its organizational structure toward a compact, elite, strong and modern force; improve training and exercise quality; enhance mobility and combat readiness to meet the demands of future operational environments. The unit should proactively promote research, scientific and technological application and digital transformation while strengthening its capability to manage, operate and master modern weapons and equipment.
Earlier the same day, Gen. Nam inspected Factory A32 under the Air Defense-Air Force Service.
