The meeting reviewed the preliminary report on military and defense tasks, the organization plan for the conference, and an illustrative video for the summary report.
Delegates provided feedback on the draft documents and evaluated the outstanding military and defense achievements. They proposed highlighting key areas such as strategic recommendations, force building, organizational restructuring, the development of a two-tier local government in line with national defense tasks, digital transformation, and the 2026 theme of researching and producing modern weapons.
Besides, preparations were also thoroughly reviewed. The illustrative video was requested to comprehensively and vividly reflect the whole military’s achievements in the first half of 2026.
Concluding the event, General Nguyen Tan Cuong acknowledged and hailed the Office of the Ministry of National Defense for its thorough preparation of the documents. He urged relevant units to continue to refine reports, clarify existing shortcomings, and outline key solutions for the second half of the year.
