According to the report and delegates' presentations, Party and political work within the GS during the first half of 2026 was closely directed and implemented in strict accordance with directives and plans. Activities were carried out comprehensively, creatively, and flexibly, ensuring the successful completion of both routine and unexpected tasks.

In his concluding remarks, Sr. Lt. Gen. Phung Si Tan praised the achievements recorded in Party and political work during the first six months of this year.

Highly appreciating the contributions made by conference delegates, General Tan emphasized that Party and political work in the second half of this year should continue to thoroughly implement resolutions, directives, conclusions, and regulations of the Party Central Committee, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the General Department of Political Affairs. Particular attention should be paid to implementing the guidance of Party General Secretary and State President To Lam delivered at the second conference of the Central Military Commission, as well as the Chief of the GS's directive on the "Three excellences" initiative.

He also called for continued innovation and improvement in the quality of political and ideological education, strengthened efforts to safeguard the Party's ideological foundation, enhanced comprehensive leadership capacity and combat effectiveness of Party committees and Party organizations at all levels, and the development of a contingent of capable officers to meet task requirements.

In addition, he stressed the need to effectively implement policy and mass mobilization work, promote the pioneering role of mass organizations, accelerate digital transformation, and further improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of Party and political work across all assigned missions.
