Francia, a Venezuelan mother whose daughter was trapped inside a building that collapsed during the earthquake in Playa Grande, was among those helped by the Vietnamese soldiers. With their assistance, her daughter's body was located and recovered from the rubble on July 2 (local time). After completing the funeral arrangements, she sent a message to a Spanish-speaking member of the Vietnamese team.

The message said, "Thanks to you and Vietnam's wonderful teams, I can finally close this tragic chapter. I have received my daughter's ashes. I wish you all good health."
