During the first six months of this year, MR1 fulfilled its assigned missions amid a complex international and regional security environment. Across all areas of MR1’s responsibility, the situation remained generally stable, with steady economic growth and firmly maintained national defense and security.
Notable achievements included maintaining a high level of combat readiness; closely monitoring and accurately assessing the situation; and providing timely, effective strategic advice to the Central Military Commission (CMC) and the Ministry of National Defense (MND) on military and defense matters, particularly concerning key strategic areas and border regions.

In addition, MR1 effectively coordinated the implementation of the State's defense management functions, while further strengthening the whole-people national defense posture in close association with the people's security posture. Political and ideological education, information dissemination, public communications, cultural and artistic activities, as well as emulation and commendation campaigns, were actively promoted. Security protection, mass mobilization, policy implementation, and mass organization activities were conducted in a strict manner. Party and political work across all missions was carried out in a systematic and effective manner, among others.
In his speech, General Nghia highly praised the achievements of the MR1’s armed forces over the past time. To successfully accomplish all targets and tasks for 2026, he requested the MR1 Party Committee to focus on several key priorities.

The MR1 Party Committee should continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement resolutions, directives, conclusions, regulations, plans, and guidance issued by the Party Central Committee, the CMC, and the GDP on Party building, while further strengthening MR1 Party Organization to ensure it remains clean, strong, and exemplary in leading the armed forces to successfully fulfill all assigned missions.
GDP chief also emphasized the need to comprehensively carry out security protection, mass mobilization, and policy work, with particular attention to the “500-day campaign” to intensify the search for, recovery and identification of martyrs' remains. He called for continued efforts to strengthen mass organizations and military personnel councils, while ensuring Party and political work is effectively integrated into all military missions, to name but a few.
