At the event, delegates were briefed on the results of the emulation and commendation and the "Determined to Win" movements this year, as well as the plans for 2016. Accordingly, the “Determined to Win" drives were comprehensively implemented in line with the "patriotic emulation" drive and other movements, becoming a strong driving force for the whole army to successfully fulfill their assigned tasks, thereby improving their overall strength and combat readiness.
Addressing the meeting, General Lich hailed the units' efforts in carrying out the higher levels' directions and instructions on emulation and commendation with many practical results. However, he pointed out some shortcomings and urged them to overcome these in order to fulfill their critical missions, contributing to ensuring absolute safety for the upcoming 12th Party Congress and the National Assembly's election, as well as maintaining peace and political stability for economic development.
Additionally, the council's members also voted to select individuals and groups, who have had remarkable achievements during the emulation drives, for the ministry and the governments' awards.
