PANO – Forces in Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh and Long An provinces should review their action plans and task performances, and renew methods to raise the effectiveness of crime prevention.

This was requested by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Cung, Deputy Minister of National Defence at a meeting with the People’s Committees of the three localities, local border guards, public security, customs and market control forces on fighting crime, smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, on January 30th.

He also asked the localities to promote the involvement of all forces and community in carrying out the tasks, develop suitable action plans, raise the living standards of locals and promote border and people-to-people external affairs, making contributions to ensuring public order and boosting security and defence in border areas. Meanwhile, border guards, public security and customs forces were asked to promote carrying staff work for local party committees and authorities to raise the effectiveness of dissemination on the prevention of crime, smuggling and trade fraud.

Earlier, the general had praised the forces for their efforts in fighting crime and took note of their recommendations.

The same day, the general visited and extended Tet wishes to troops of Infantry Company 54 of the Military Command of Tay Ninh province’s Trang Bang district.
