An overwview of the event |
As planned, 21 COs will compete in seven events, while 21 political officers compete in six categories, namely Party and political work, training work, general knowledge of the military, laws, logistics, and technical services.
In his opening remarks, General Oai said that the contest aims to evaluate the capabilities and skills of coast guard ships’ COs and political officers. Based on these assessments, the VCGC’s Party Committee and Chain-of-Command will issue leadership policies and approaches close to reality, select good cadres for CO and political commissar positions to meet the coast guard force’s development requirements in the new period.

The competition is also a good chance for contestants to exchange, learn experience from one another and improve professional competence to become good examples.
To ensure the success of the competition and promote the spirit “united, honest, objective,” General Oai requested the competitors to compete with the highest sense of responsibility, observe the competition’s regulations, do their utmost, keep calm and be confident, promote solidarity, learn from peers, gain experience to better serve their units in the coming time.
