Speaking at the event, Gen. Vinh praised and congratulated the department on its obtained results over the past 25 years. He asked the department to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the Politburo, the Party Central Committee, the Central Military Commission (CMC), and the Ministry of National Defense (MND)’s directives and resolutions on streamlining the military in the 2021-2030 period and the years to come.

In addition, the deputy defense minister requested the department to continue researching and proposing methods to ensure technical services for its specialized subordinates; promote the application of new technologies and materials to enhance durability, reliability, and storage lifespan; upgrade technical equipment for improved tactical and technical features, aligning with operational methods and the characteristics of specific areas. He also stressed the need to accelerate digital transformation and regularity building, enhance training quality, promote scientific research, foster innovation, and promptly master upgraded and modernized as well as newly assigned technical equipment to the unit.

Reports delivered at the event revealed that in 2024, the movement has been comprehensively implemented with creative approaches. The quality and effectiveness of logistics advisory work has been enhanced, while the work of ensuring logistics supplies for training, combat readiness, and emergency missions of units have been well executed. The obtained achievements have promptly encouraged officers and soldiers to strive to fulfill all assigned tasks.
Regarding future tasks, Gen. San asked the logistics sector to effectively carry out programs and projects, adjust the strategic-level logistics force according to the Politburo and the CMC’s resolutions and the MND’s plan; step-by-step modernize logistics equipment, vehicles and materials in tandem with weapons and equipment, especially those of services, arms, and forces directly advancing to modernization.

At the National Convention Center, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) Lt. Gen. Truong Thien To chaired the rehearsal for the ceremony commemorating the 80th founding anniversary of the VPA and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People Defense Festive Day.
The event, organized by the Party Central Committee, National Assembly, State President, Government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, CMC, MND, is scheduled to take place at the National Convention Center on December 20. The ceremony will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television, the Voice of Vietnam, and the Military Broadcasting Center’s Channel.
A highlight of the event will be a 30-minute art epic program featuring outstanding musical and dance performances that encapsulate the establishment, combat, and victories of the VPA, affirming its significant role in national construction and defense.
On behalf of the GDP’s leaders, Gen. To commended the forces, agencies, and units involved for their close coordination in preparing for the program. He requested all units to incorporate feedback from the rehearsal, promptly refine the program and script, and continue to make thorough preparations to ensure the success of the ceremony.
