The visits were made on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 35th Whole-People Defense Festive Day.
During the visits, Gen. Quyet wished the three former leaders good health, longevity, and more attention and contribution to the Party’s revolutionary cause and the building of the military and GDP Organs.

The GDP chief briefed the hosts on outstanding attainments in task performance of the whole military in 2024 and the military’s missions for next year. He laid stress on the firmer people’s heart posture, whole-people defense disposition, coupled with people’s security posture; intensive and effective implementation of the Party and political work in close attachment to the military’s situation and missions.
According to Gen. Quyet, the whole military has actively built strong local political establishments, helped locals in hunger elimination and poverty reduction, new-style rural area construction, and carried out gratitude and disaster relief activities.
Generals Ngo Xuan Lich, Nguyen Quyet and Sr. Lt. Gen. Pham Thanh Ngan expressed thanks to the CMC and Ministry of National Defense (MND) for their care.

The former leaders were delighted at the results achieved by the military this year and believed that under the leadership and direction of the Party, State, directly the CMC and the MND, the military would always promote glorious traditions, excellently complete tasks assigned by the Party, State, and people.
They hoped that the GDP would promote their good advisory role so that higher levels would direct the military to triumphantly accomplish all missions, beautifying the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the new period, deserving the trust and love of the Party, State and people.

On the occasion, Gen. Quyet offered incense in tribute to late Party General Secretary Le Kha Phieu, former GDP Director General Nguyen Chi Thanh. He and his entourage promised to follow the bright examples of the two leaders and exert efforts to build a revolutionary, standardized, elite and modernized military and a more developing country.
