At the meeting, Y Ngoc highly appreciated the successful coordination in searching for, collecting, and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisers who died during wartime in Attapeu province. He emphasized that Team K53 received wholehearted support from the Lao government and people in its task performance.

Also, he extended his thanks to the Lao side for creating favorable conditions for Team K53 to successfully accomplish assigned missions.

Major General Xokxay Phimmala, Political officer of the Attapeu provincial Military Command and Head of the Special Working Committee of Attapeu province, affirmed that in the upcoming time, the Special Working Committee of Attapeu province will strengthen its leadership by directing sectors and localities to synchronously implement measures and closely coordinate with the Specialized Committee of Kon Tum province, particularly Team K53, to carry out the search, collection, and repatriation of the martyrs’ remains as planned, while enhancing  dissemination and education among younger generations about the solidarity between the two Parties, governments, and people.

At the talks, both sides highly agreed on policies and solutions for the 2024-2025 dry season. They were committed to focusing on enhancing dissemination and encouraging people to provide information about the burial places of martyrs and further promoting the coordination between authorities at all levels and the forces performing the task of searching for and collecting the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisers who laid down their lives during wartime in Laos.

On this occasion, Y Ngoc handed over certificates of merit of the Kon Tum provincial People's Committee to collectives and individuals from the Special Working Committee of Attapeu province for their outstanding achievements in the coordination work during the 2023-2024 dry season.
