Senior Colonel Tran Ngoc Chau, Second-in-Command and Chief of Staff of the An Giang Provincial Border Guard Command and Senior Colonel Vu Quoc An, Deputy Head of the Military Science Department of the Border Guard Command, co-chaired the seminar.

At the event, delegates focused on assessing the security and order situation at border gates, as well as reviewing the results of coordination between An Giang Provincial Border Guard and Cambodian border protection forces in recent years.

Delegates unanimously affirmed that close cooperation between the two sides has played an important role in maintaining political security and social order, while effectively combating smuggling, trade fraud, illegal border crossings, and other law violations.

Delegates also identified difficulties and challenges in the current situation, while proposing various solutions to improving coordination. These included maintaining regular information exchange; conducting joint patrols; strengthening cooperation in monitoring and promptly handling incidents in a timely manner. At the same time, they emphasized the importance of joint communication and public outreach to encourage people on both sides of the border to strictly comply with the law, thereby contributing to building a border of peace, friendship, cooperation, and development.

The seminar provided valuable practical insights for research and improvement of the project, while reaffirming the determination of the two countries’ border protection forces to ensure security and order in border gate areas in the new situation.
